Scripture Saturday

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

This is such a sweet scripture. I ran across it on a sign that hung in a nursery of a baby that had a long road getting here and a tough time coming into the world. But it has so much more meaning than just that one way. It is talking about a God who can do IMMEASURABLY more. Without measure, limits, ending, anything. He can do more than our greatest dreams. More than all we ask or imagine. How strong a statement is that. As humans, we are limited. We can only do so much. We can only imagine so much because so much is out of the realm of possibility. But our God doesn't have that limitiation. He can do so much more that you can't put an amount on it. It really humbles me to think about that. How GREAT is my God!! As a Christian, we have the promise that God can work miracles within us greater than anything we could ever know. What a wonderful gift to have!

This also is a treasured verse for me right now because I have family and friends that are in need of God's immeasurable works. My Nanny underwent surgery on Thursday to remove the cancer they found. It was a difficult procedure and she is now on the long road to recovery. But God CAN heal her! A close friend had surgery on Tuesday to remove a cyst on her ovary that might be what is causing her to not concieve. God CAN heal her! Another family friend is having surgery on Monday to remove a cancerous spot. God CAN heal him! He can do all that and even more!
